My name is Adam Brackman and I want to thank you for allowing me the opportunity to share with you my vision for the city of Atlanta.

As an established resident of the great city of Atlanta, I've watched as our city becomes more and more broken every day.

Crime is up, people are losing their homes and city services, including vital Police and Fire are cut day after day.

On top of all this, the Mayor and City Council passed a tax increase as part of the 2010 budget. However, audits of city departments show continued mismanagement and wasted revenue. Revenue that you and I pay in taxes to the city, year after year.

When the city can’t balance their books and continues to run as inefficiently as it does now, raising taxes and allowing furloughs of necessary services like Police and Fire are not how you solve the problems that our city faces.

New leadership is needed.

Now, more than ever.

I believe I’m qualified to be one of the new leaders of Atlanta. As a community activist across the city in issues ranging from public safety to efficient government services, I believe I can use my experience in community service and my own work experience to help transform Atlanta back to its rightful place as the capital of the New South.
